Pet Food Formulator & Companion Animal Nutrition Consultant
James Pendergast builds the thing most raw diets get wrong. He is a pet food formulator specializing in complete and balanced meals and therapeutic diets, with more than a decade of experience in pet nutrition and a reputation as a leader in biologically appropriate raw pet food. Where much of the raw category still relies on ancestral intuition, his work is built on nutrient math held against published requirements.
He works as a pet food consultant and formulator through NetPet Nutrition, based in Seattle, and is a listed expert on the Animal Diet Formulator team, where he is described as one of Steve Brown's first and foremost protégés and an expert in the formulation program itself. His background spans pet food product development, formulation, and nutrition consulting. He is part of Darwin's expert panel.Meet all of our experts.
